Your Tribe is Waiting, But They Can’t Find the Fake You

For the longest time, I thought a branding shoot had to look a certain way. A neutral blazer, a white background, a staged smile, and a coffee mug to seal the deal. It was polished, professional, and safe. But it never felt like me.
So when I planned my latest branding shoot, I made one decision. I was going to show up as my full, authentic self. Not the version I thought people wanted to see. Not the version that looked the most “put together.” Just me. Because in this economy, it is not enough to just show what you sell. People want to know who you are.
And if you look at my website, my Instagram, or anything I put out into the world, you will see exactly that. I do not filter my personality to fit some industry standard. I show up as myself every single time, and because of that, I attract the people who actually get me.
Your People Are Waiting for the Real You
There is this fear that if we show up as ourselves, we will not be taken seriously. So we water ourselves down. We present a version of ourselves that we think people will resonate with instead of leaning into the truth of who we are. And then we wonder why we are not attracting the right clients or why our brand feels disconnected.
The reality is, when you show up authentically, you attract the people God has assigned to you. The ones who will see you and say, That is my person. That is who I need to work with. But they can only find you if you are showing up fully as yourself.
Your Authenticity is Your Superpower
A lot of times we show up as imposters without even realizing it. We present a version of ourselves that we think will be more marketable, more likable, more accepted. And in doing so, we miss out on the very thing that sets us apart.
Your superpower is not just what you sell or what you do. It is who you are. Your story, your personality, your quirks, your energy. That is what people connect with. That is what builds trust. That is what makes people choose you over someone else offering the same service.
That is exactly why I make sure my brand feels like me. The way I show up online, the way I speak, the way I create—it is all a reflection of who I truly am. And I want that same energy for you.
You Have to Show Up First
Everything changes when you decide to stop hiding and start embracing exactly who you are. The way people consume your content changes. The way they engage with your brand shifts. The people who are drawn to you will be different.
But it starts with you.
If you are still showing up based on what you think people want, you are blocking the people who are actually waiting for you. The real you. The one who does not need a cookie cutter branding shoot to prove you belong. The one who is confident, creative, and already enough.
So the question is, are you ready to show up for them? Because they are ready for you.
